Qenos is committed to continuous improvement of its environmental performance as shown below. The two main elements of Qenos’ Safety, Health and Environment Operating System which cover Qenos’ environmental responsibility, are the Safety, Health and Environment Operating Practices (SHEOPs) for Pollution Prevention and Regulatory Compliance. These set out requirements for legal compliance and good environmental management.
East site has an Environment Improvement Plan which is an integral part of the Environment Management System (EMS) and is the means of ensuring continuous improvement of Qenos’ environmental performance through the addition of new action items every year.
Qenos’ Environment Management System is based on that of one of its shareholders. Lloyds Register has attested that meeting the requirements of that system is equivalent to meeting the requirements of ISO 14001, the worldwide environmental accreditation system.
